Why isn't there Pixel Watch and Pixel 2 watch lte support?

ImSpiritus
Fledgling

So we are almost half way through 2024 and as yet no support for Pixel lte watch owners to connect to their Pixel phones.

After Three had a huge marketing pushing out the Pixel 2 with Pixel 8 Pro and yes it was for the WiFi watch only, but a lot of people have purchased the lte version.  Yet only 2 operators have seen the value of the lte and provide connection.  Three are focused on either Apple or Samsung, yet other phone suppliers have watches that are lte enabled like Google and OnePlus.  When will three catch up and get lte pairing for these providers.

Hello.

The network is always looking to add features and support for new devices, but it all takes time, and some things have to be prioritised over others. The reality is that demand for LTE pairing on Pixel Watch is a fraction of what it is on Apple and Samsung devices. Both of those manufacturers also have a large back catalogue of devices, where as Google only launched the 2nd gen Pixel watch less than a year ago.

I have no doubts support for Pixel Watch pairing will come, and hopefully it's soon, but how that is prioritised will depend on how many of our customers actually want and would use the feature.

Pete.
