Go into your Three app or log into the Three homepage and you can add a bundle of minutes/texts and data using either your existing credit or via a top up.

There's no option to use existing credit. It only allowed you to use your card

It sounds like you might be doing it through the app. There was an issue with it appearing on the app previously, I'm unsure at the moment what the outcome of that was and can't get it checked right now. It might be worth trying to log in through the website and do it there though, as the option should be there.
