I left Vodafone because I wanted nothing to do with them due to their greed and breach of contract. Had I been made aware of the proposed merger, I would not have taken out my current contract.
I assume that I will be able to cancel my contract without penalty once the merger happens??? (Or will the courts have to decide?)

Hi @RickL,
I'm sorry to hear you've had a poor experience with Vodafone in the past. No merger has taken place at the moment. The merger between Three UK and Vodafone UK has been approved subject to certain conditions but for now we remain 2 separate companies. There are no changes to your terms and conditions or the way you contact us.
If you want more information, please visit: https://three.co.uk/merger
Thanks,
Jonathan

I am in a similar position. I left Vodafone having been subjected to a barrage of threats and incorrect information from them. This was before the pandemic and presumably before the circumstances that appear to have led to the legal actions that are now proposed against against Vodafone. I can only say that the behaviour I experienced bears a remarkable resemblance on a lesser scale to that which the franchise holders now allege against Vodafone. And in my case although Vodafone claimed a good measure of coverage the checkers now indicate that Vodafone has very poor coverage in my area.
I feel very strongly about this issue and I do think that Three should be prepared to explain whether people in areas with good coverage from Three will be afforded any protection against the poor service that Vodafone offer. I would also need some reassurance that my position as a Three customer who was involved in a dispute with Vodafone would be protected as I am not prepared to embark upon another dispute with Vodafone after the distress we suffered on the last occasion.
My options are very limited and I have been delighted by the service I have received from Three but I will have no alternative but to cancel my agreement with Three if no further details of how existing customers will be protected.

One would presume the networks of Three and Vodafone will in time become interoperable, seeing an improvement to coverage to subscribers of both services.
