On several occasions I've had people whos number I don't recognise call me and say that I have called them from my number. This is worrying it happened at least 5 times on odd occasions. Every single time I have not called the person. Any advice or help?

I've also had this issue on several occasions over the past few weeks. If my number is being used, can it not be stopped?

Hi @Debk89,
I appreciate your frustration. Fortunately spoofing doesn't actually access your real Three account or services. So the scammers aren't really using your phone number, there's just a piece of software being used to show your number to the person being called.
Unfortunately that does mean we don't have control over this though. Our Fraud to watch out for page has all the latest advice on scams, fraud and how to report these. We tend to find that spoofers change the numbers they use very rapidly, so hopefully you won't receive calls like this for long. If it's really persistent, you can ask customer services for a new number though.
In the long term, it's going to require development of technology, and coordination between organisations like Action Fraud, law enforcement, Ofcom and the UK networks to put a stop to this once and for all. My understanding is that this is being worked on, and we hope it isn't too far off in the future when this is a thing of the past.
Thanks,
Jonathan

Hello there.
Welcome to the Three Community .
That sounds frustrating. That's a tactic that's been used before to try and gather details from a person by scammers. I'd recommend hanging up when you get those calls. It's a good idea to block calls from numbers that you do not recognise unless you're expecting a call from an unknown number.
Pete.
