The only option is a data passport but that costs Ā£5 a day for unlimited data for 24 hours. Probably cheaper to just pay the surcharge depending on how much data youāre going to use. Based on 0.3p/mb for the surcharge on a three your way plan you would need to use 1666.66 mb in 24 hours to hit Ā£5.

No worries, Tarantella.
I can see the information on the website that lead you to that conclusion, and I can see why you provided that information here. Perhaps that info isn't the clearest explanation. I'll feed it back to see if the Web Team would be OK looking for another way to word it.
Pete.

Okay thank you for the help. The options donāt make it clear that buying other addons apart from the daily Ā£5 one will be useless once you hit that 12GB limit.
Itās mostly used for hot spotting the kids because the data is faster than the WiFi but they are just going to have to suck it up.
Think the surcharge will be the way to go.

Just to clarify the surcharge only applies when using your monthly data allowance and if you go over that you will then be charged 1p/mb.

It's 1p per mb
So 1gb outwith the Data Passport will be £10, double the cost of the data passport.

Wrong. Itās only 1p/mb once you use all your allowance. So if you have 30gb a month you can use 12gb for roaming under fair usage then there is a surcharge of 0.3p/mb until you use all of the remaining 30gb allowance. If you use all the 30gb allowance then it is 1p/mb until your allowance refreshes.
