My 3 sim does not have WIFI calling anymore? it did have but not now. I have 2 sims in my phone one from 3 and one from tescos mobile. the Tescos does have WIFI calling. I have tried Airplane mode, rebooting phone/router etc.and still no good! I have a Redmi note 13 pro plus with all the latest updates As I have a very poor signal at home this makes my 3 sim virtually useless.

Hello @keith1,

Thanks for getting in touch, and I'm sorry to hear you can no longer access Wi-Fi calling.

Do you recall when this stopped working? Also, if your Three SIM is in SIM slot 2, please try this in SIM slot 1 to see if this helps.

Please also try resetting your network settings. You can do this by completing the following steps:

Settings >Connection & Sharing >Reset Wi-Fi, mobile networks, and Bluetooth > Press Reset Settings > Ok

Please note: this will remove Wi-Fi and Bluetooth history/passwords.

Thanks,
Michael

Thanks for the reply, but I have tried all the above, The 3 sim does not have wifi calling in slot one or two, the wifi calling box on phone says ''Not available'' in whatever slot the 3 sim is in, but both working on tescos sim. We live in a poor signal area that does get a summer booster signal station but wifi calling  stopped working  before that was taken away.

Hey @keith1,

Thanks for the extra information. Could you follow the steps below and let me know if you're still unable to access Wi-Fi calling, please?

  • Check for the latest software update and install if any update is available.
  • Next, connect your phone to Wi-Fi and ensure VoLTE is enabled.
  • Now Go to Settings->SIM Cards & Mobile Networks.
  • Tap on the SIM card for which you want to enable Wi-Fi calling.
  • Make sure the Use VoLTE option is enabled. If not, enable it.

Upon scrolling down you will find an option called Make Calls using Wi-Fi.

Thanks,

Kate

Thanks, but have done that! Ordered a new sim as thought it might be that but no. when i put the new 3 sim in slot one or two it says no wifi calling available same as old one, but the tescos sim works in both slots and shows wifi calling as active! so I assume its not the phone or the settings and now not the sim so am at a complete loss as to what to do next!

Right just realised when the 3 sim is installed in any slot in the settings it has wifi calling but no option to use VoLTE! so cannot turn on but does with tescos sim in both slots?

Hey Keith,

We auto-enable and hide VoLTE on some devices so it might not necessarily be an issue.

Is Wi-Fi calling now working for you?

No still not working, friends now use my other number or my home number now! Phone says ''wifi calling not available'' in the notification box. call my number and it either rings out or goes to answerphone but nothing come up on phone. this is so annoying as it did work.

Hi @keith1,

I've sometimes found that the issue is that our Wi-Fi calling service only kicks in with really weak/no signal. It's worth trying your phone in airplane/flight mode. Most phones will let you toggle this setting, and switch your Wi-Fi back on whilst leaving in flight mode so that the mobile network doesn't reconnect.

If your phone supports this, then check if it'll let you make a Wi-Fi call this way. Not ideal, but should help you determine whether the problem is that Wi-Fi calling isn't working on your phone at all, or if the weak signal is still trying to force a normal phone call.

Let me know if you're able to test this.

Thanks,
Jonathan

Hi Thanks for your input, but I have tried that, you have not read the whole thread,  😉  My phone has 2 sim slots both work fine with a Tesco mobile sim, none of them give me wifi calling with Three! It did work when  first got sim but not now.
