Hi guys, I just wanted some insight on an issue I’ve been having.
My contract is currently under my brothers name, which was done with the intention that I’d pay for the contract and have ownership of it after a few months. I have contacted three to let them know that I’d like to change the personal details on the account (DOB, name etc) to my own.
They have told me that I need to cancel my contract, join with another provider, and then come back to three! Just to change some personal details on my account, I am very confused and quite frankly annoyed that it needs to be this complicated.
My friend who is with 02 had this issue, and she was able to open a new account under her name, and they transferred the number without her having to pay the early termination fee.
This just shows to me that there are better providers and I’m thinking of leaving three as this can be easily avoided.
Has anyone else had this issue?

They upgraded their billing system recently so are not able to do it anymore. Not ideal I know.
