Go roam extra

I have used go roam in Europe and USA for many years and found it excellent. I have recently used go roam extra (India and Bahamas) and found it incredibly confusing. 

1) I arrive in country and get a text telling me I am in a go roam country and will be charged £7 per day to unlock my uk allowances. 

2) a few minutes later I get a text telling me I have exceeded my financial limit. 
3) I get home and find my next bill includes unexplained extra charges that are significantly higher than £7 per day but below my financial limit. 
4) I go through chat function to get my charges refunded. 

 I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong or if this process is not working properly.

Using your phone in Go Roam Extra Destinations works in the same way as using your phone in Go Roam or Go Roam Around the World destinations. 

In order to learn what went wrong, and how to avoid it, understanding the charges is important. That's not something that can be found out from here, sadly. The support team that you spoke to should be able to give details of the charges, and advice on how to avoid charges in future. Alternatively, you should be able to see a break down of the usage charges within the monthly bill once it's generated. It might reveal something about the charges you weren't aware of.
