On August 23, I tested Three's 5G network in my area. I signed up for the two-year contract, got the 5G device, and gave up less than one week later because it was awful. I had no problems returning it.
In the meantime, the salesperson offered me a fair-priced pay-as-you-go SIM, which I accepted. Remember: PAY AS YOU GO SIM. Reasonable price, lousy service. I can deal with it.
Now, I am moving out of the country (Company transfer), and I contacted Three Support to cancel the service. I was surprised to receive a cancellation fee of ยฃ202.61 and a contract end date of 02/08/2025.
I felt I was manipulated. None of my utilities are on long-term contracts because I knew I would have to leave the UK soon.
I'd appreciate some advice on what to do.
