Just taken out a BB sim contract and trying to set up my Tenda Mesh system.
spoke to three customer services who said the SIM card uses a dynamic IP but my mesh system won’t have it.
I have the option of a static IP but I need the relevant details. How do I get these? Customer services were pretty much clueless and it took 3 calls for them to understand that I don’t have a three router - just the sim.

Hey @Pidsy,
All of our IPs are dynamic unfortunately we can't supply static ones.
What may be happening is that if it's a SIM only, the APN could be defaulting to three.co.uk and using CGNAT which won't work with mesh systems to my understanding. The three.co.uk APN is intended for mobile data on phones, so it can be good for that context, but doesn't work well with Broadband
If you're able to change the APN to 3internet this may help, you won't need a username or password for the APN profile, generally you can just leave any fields blank, or as their default. It also may be worth checking if IPv4 only fixes issues with connectivity, as we sometimes see issues reported when using IPv6.
My support in terms of discussing 3rd party hardware is limited unfortunately, but hope this helps.
Thanks,
Jonathan
