Home broadband coverage

Fledgling

I have bought myself a Zyxel 5G router (same one issued by Three on the home broadband plan), along with a pay as you go three SIM card. I’ve got the SIM card in the router and I get excellent 5G connection with it (on average 400-500mbps). However, when trying to buy a home broadband plan/package through Three, I’m not eligible after entering my address. This makes me question why I’m illegible for the home broadband plan, when I have the same setup as provided, and there clearly isn’t a utilisation issue in my area as I consistently get high speeds with the 5G router and Three PAYG plan.

There are many posts on why this happens. 3 could be testing 5g home broadband before making a public offering.  It may have been available but is no longer open to new customers due to being over subscribed. If it works then you are lucky. Make sure you register your interest so 3 will let you know when it's available.
