Hi there, I've got a new 5g hub from Three shop and the sole intention is Xbox use and online gaming.
First issue I see is moderate NAT. Any fix?
Second issue is UPnP unsuccessful but I've enabled on router pc login.
Third issue is the MTU is really low and therefore flags as fail for multiplayer games.
Seems the software on the router has no effect and the settings are all set at Threes end which makes for big fail.
I see lots of posts and claims been looked into but clearly fob off as over a year for many.
Any soloution or is this going back?
Also any way (not looked, just makes me think of shocking Virgin forum) to list forum posts in a list?
All the best.

I have been having the same issues with my Three hub. I changed the settings in my hub portal to be manual APN, IPV4 only. Although this allowed me to connect to Xbox servers as normal, the speeds were really shocking bad.
I never had these issues until some kind of update, around 2 months ago. Have had my hub for almost 2 years. Before this it worked fine on all original settings. I don't even get 5G anymore.
Looking forward to a real fix to this issue, rather than reducing the functionality and security of my router settings just to bypass something which is clearly broken and needs engineering.
Thanks,
Pete

Hi @PaulJones69,
Sorry for the delay in picking up your post. This sounds a lot like what was described on: New B14 Firmware For NR5103 has broken UPnP / Gaming!
In that case the solution was to set the APN profile to manual, with APN 3internet and PDP set to IPv4.
We're always looking for feedback to improve our Community, can you explain a bit more about what you mean in terms of listing forum topics?
Thanks,
Jonathan

Has this mtu problem been sorted out yet because nothing works. I only bought this 5g as it was promised it was “perfect for gaming” it couldn’t be any further from the truth. I’ve not been able to play with my friends for around 6 months now. But it n still having to pay a bill what i shouldn’t be having to pay if you can’t even get a router to work. It’s actually a joke. Ombudsman will have to be contacted at this rate as it seems three is running a highly sophisticated SCAM

Sorry you're still having problems. Unless there's been an update on the Gaming page posted above, you can assume it's not resolved. If you'd like to raise a complaint, get in touch https://bit.ly/3q3xZ0c

Looks like support is as good as virgin forum.
