Three 5G not allowing FTP

My website(s) hosting company insists on SFTP-SSH for the main domain FTP, but normal FTP for sub domains.
This worked OK when I used Virgin broadband.
When I moved to THREE 5G, I can still FTP to the main domain, but with any of the sub domains I get this (using FileZilla):
Status: Resolving address of xxxxxxxxxxxx
Status: Connecting to xx.xx.xx.xx.xx
Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Response: 220---------- Welcome to Pure-FTPd [privsep] [TLS] ----------
Response: 220-You are user number 1 of 50 allowed.
Response: 220-Local time is now 10:13. Server port: 21.
Response: 220-This is a private system - No anonymous login
Response: 220-IPv6 connections are also welcome on this server.
Response: 220 You will be disconnected after 15 minutes of inactivity.
Command: AUTH TLS
Response: 234 AUTH TLS OK.
Status: Initializing TLS...
Error: Connection timed out after 30 seconds of inactivity
Error: Could not connect to server

I have pestered the hosting company to investigate, and they say it is due to the broadband provider (THREE 5G) only permitting SFTP connections.  Not standard FTP.
(I have also tried every setting I can find in hub and THREE account...)
Has anyone else got the same problem?
Any suggestions as to what else I can try.

I also have this issue.  I have been with three for years and I had no problem uploading to my website via FTP via Filezilla.  Then my Three supplied router stopped working for both FTP and gave a weird connection error for everything else.  I contacted Three who tried a few things and eventually changed the router.  I also mentioned during the call that FTP had stopped working.  The tech guy said that should never have worked as Three did not offer that service. I of course explained it had worked fine until recently. .  What I deduced from all this is that Three have had a policy change somewhere that restricts or changes how FTP access works and almost no one is aware if this.  Three can answer to that for themselves.

I think the tech guy is mistaken 🙂
I am using FTP with THREE 5G all the time (this morning for example), but until the THREE support changed something a few days ago (ipv6 to ipv4) FTP did not work, but SFTP worked OK.

Had a call with Three 5G Home Broadband support, and the tech that was "helping" me did not know what FTP was.

After 10 mins of explaining, he put me on hold for 15 mins - told me he had made all the changes he could, with no success & I will get a call on Monday.

With this issue connection to FTP, and daily inconsistencies of service requiring full reboot of modem, I will likely be cancelling my subscription while in the cooling off period.

Three 5G Home Broadband, is NOT suitable for anyone who uses their network for development or any web services.

I found solution. Your hub needs to be changed from IPv6 to IPV4.   After a long time on chat, I got through to a THREE tech who changed it in seconds. (then you need to restart hub).

I have just toggled off IPv6 in the Eero App, but this hasn't resolve my issue.

Did you do any other steps?

No, I did nothing. THREE Support person did it at their end. Maybe it is an account setting on THREE.

It fixed FileZilla not being able to connect.  But it has NOT fixed Dreamweaver being unable to connect -- I am now trying to fix this.
