I'm also having this issue it's been great for 9months but just started freezing in the last few days.

I'm thinking something has changed in the router

No.

Three have under-invested so much that the entire network is over-subscribed, contention is killing it, and particularly at peak viewing times, when we all need it the most.

ADSL may be slower but at least it's vaguely reliable in comparison.

In the 12 months of my contract Three have failed to provide proper service for most of it, hence I now have a note on my contract stating the exit fee will be waived if I leave.

I suggest you demand the same and don't back down.

Then leave, or face months of pain.

As soon as the fibre being installed in my area becomes available I'll be doing the same, never to return and ensuring that nobody I know EVER joins Three.

I don’t have Three home broadband but I have a Three pay monthly phone with unlimited data. I live in very rural West Norfolk and my experience of Three bandwidth couldn’t be more at odds with yours. I can’t speak on apparent underinvestment but I can say that I’ve no complaints. Our broadband is fibre to the home with upload and download speeds exceeding 1gps which really we’ve found we don’t need so in Jan and the end of the contract we intend to use Three as our provider. I know my way around Three so don’t anticipate too many issues.

I'm sorry you feel your experience is sub par.

No contention where you are, or at least minimal, that's one of the few benefits of being rural.

I guess that’s a fair point!
