No inclusive passes? No problem. When visiting a Go Roam Around the World Extra destination, you can unlock your plan’s data, minutes, and texts for £7 for 24hrs* or buy a 3, 7, or 14 day Go Roam Around the World Extra Pass before you travel for even better savings. You can check the rates for any roaming destination before you travel on our Roaming Support page. And if it’s time to renew your plan, why not take advantage of our Value and Complete plans which are bundled with up to 56 days of inclusive Roaming passes, as well as other perks such as Paramount+, extended warranty, free screen repairs and more!

I've been a Three customer for around 20 years, so definitely fall into the before 1 October 2021 category, and every time I travel I cannot for the life of me figure out how much I am going to be charged or where I get free roaming. I've read through this thread and seen the new structure touted as simple, which it is anything but. There never seems to be any information about before 1 October contracts.

Hey @ChazUK,

The roaming charges applicable are based on whether you joined or renewed your contract after October 2021. If you've upgraded or renewed your plan since then, you'd be subject to Go Roam charges depending on the destination you're visiting.

If you haven't renewed your contract or made any changes since joining, then you'd be able to check out the countries available to roam free in on our older plans price guide

I’m on advanced plan and can’t seem to use data in Canada….thought it was included?

It's £7 a day to use your UK allowances in Canada.

 

Or, if you don't need to call or text, then a Data Passport is available for £5 a day, with unlimited data

Can I ask why it's Pay Monthly only?

I've been with three since 2015, and was on a 3-2-1 PAYG plan, but was turned over to a PAYG 12GB Data at some point, which then turned over to a 15 GB Data auto renew.
I didn't even know about the changes until I went to Japan, and it was cheaper to buy a local SIM rather try anything with Three, and a planned trip to Thailand has me running for a local SIM. The comms from Three have been very hit and miss, as I do struggle to understand some of the changes due to a traumatic brain injury. 
Changes like this need to run past the Plain English Campaign.

I'm sorry for any confusion about our Roaming offers, we appreciate this can be a complex subject. Go Roam Around The World Extra is a Pay Monthly offer, and we've taken steps to make this clear on this article and any relevant pages on the Three website.

Neither Japan or Thailand have ever been covered for PAYG Go Roam, but if you have a look on our Roaming Support page, you can check all the relevant rates for any destination.

Hi my contract is pre 2021 but includes go roam. Will that cover me for India. The website and app really aren’t easy to use to find this info. Not sure why it doesn’t just display based on phone number. Thx
