CT9 Mast Issue Work

crambie

It's been going on for well over a month and internet speed at times are as low as 3Kbs, old dial up modems were faster. So is there any hope it will be finished anytime soon? Is it an "Issue" as the status page says and isn't really being fixed at all but will be when you you have time to get around to it or something more interesting like 5g?

Also the same message everyday but with a different timestamp isn't really an update.

Thanks

Sort of. Most of us are just 3 customers who can, in some cases, offer assistance but some pieces of information are not even available to the moderators. When it comes to the "big build", general maintenance or repair work 3 plays it very close to their chest. You can try talking to the social media team, don't ask why them but it is where I was directed when I last had issues. All I got was a 7 days credit and not a lot of info.

Not defending 3 but one of the big issues they face, and not alone, is supply chain. It only takes one supplier to miss a date and we all suffer.

Maybe one of the moderators will pick up on this and address you directly but I don't think that they are full time on this so it may be a day or 2.

Thank-you however it is on the three.co.uk domain so if three doesn't bother to respond to messages, not just talking about mine, then what's the point of it, get rid of it. I'll have try and work out exactly how long this has been going on for, I've lost track of time could well be 2+ months, I'll give them a bit longer and if it's still not fixed I might give up with them.

Supply chain problems: that's why I said that saying the same thing all the time just with a different date and time isn't an update. If they said waiting for parts, got parts, installing then that's an update. If they are waiting for parts then saying "Our engineers are working on masts nearby" is basically a lie.

Working on mast is a cop-out and a lazy one. I spent 15 years in the radio industry and know that one small missing item can screw the whole process. Unfortunately a lot of these parts are custom made and can take weeks or months to produce. I am not defending 3 but I have been there.

Thanks, although ideally I would prefer not to be in that particular club! btw I meant 3KBs not 3Kbs not that it really matters when speeds becomes that low.

Welcome to the club. I had the same message for 3 months last year and again for the last 6 to 8 weeks. I just hope they finish before my contract expires.
