It’s an absolute joke, I’ve bought 2 passes now and still no data, spoken to 3 support, said it’s sorted, company gone downhill.

It will activate itself once you make a call/use data/send a SMS in a roam like home area.

I’m having the same issue. My iPhone 15 has all the correct settings in place, but when I turn WiFi off or I’m out of WiFi range, I lose all internet connectivity.

Sorry to hear that you're having trouble connecting. Are calls and texts still working okay for you? Where have you traveled to?
If you check in your Network/Carrier selection settings, this is on Automatic by default, but when switched to manual, you can check if any other roaming networks are available to connect to. Failing this, check that you don't have a £0 spend cap, and get in touch so we can check roaming is definitely active on your account.
