This has just happened to me!!!!! my daughter has just left for a weekend trip and we both have inactive SIM cards because I ordered replacement Sims due to network connection issues. This was not explained to me that my current Sims would disconnect.
Since when do u disconnect SIM cards without telling someone. Once my new SIM card arrived I expected to them get my number transferred. I am furious!!! Money can't repay for the anguish of a mother not knowing how their child is. She is with an adult however communicates her true feelings via text to me.
I tried to access my bank account whilst out today to transferr money to pay for my petrol, not internet access.... No petrol..... This is when I first realised the SIM was disconnected. = stress... Panic... Risk of breaking down with no petrol.
My phone line barely worked.... Hence asking for a new SIM to see if that helped, it was previously breaking up when I spoke to people, they would say they couldn't hear me... Important calls couldn't be had. Lived with one bar on 4G for 3 months. Never seen 5G although Three say it's available in my area for my S23.
I want to leave Three, this is terrible! @

It is standard procedure for lost and stolen sim cards to be stopped, for obvious reasons. From reading other posts they sometimes do the same for replacement sims sent for other reasons. I cannot find anything about this on the website and there should be a clear warning that you may be stuck for 48 hours or more if a bank holiday is involved.
