I'm having a nightmare trying to transfer my number from a three pay as you go to a new contract.  I've tried 4 times and been given incorrect information twice.  I tried again yesterday and now my pay as you go (the number I wish to keep ) has gone off but the number hasn't transferred to my contract .is this correct do I have to wait or have they made another mistake

Hello, Batesy.

Welcome to the Three Community.

It's disappointing to hear you've had so many issues getting the change over done, sorry about that.

I can confirm that the process of getting the number to move over onto the contract would involve the number being temporarily cancelled off of it's old account while it's being moved on to the new contract.

The process can take up to 48 hours, but it's usually faster than that. If for some reason you get to the 48 hours and it's still not transferred, come back and message here and we'll figure out what to do next.

Pete.

I am currently going through this also. Was guaranteed this would be complete by Friday and am yet waiting. Have spoken and been disconnected several times in the chat and been given a few different explanations and guarantees, all mostly suggesting I have done something wrong. I am away for the week and have people relying on me to contact me via that number. The number was delayed in being moved over, had this issue arisen when it was supposed ro be transferred I could have had it sorted before I was away. But now am away without access to certain things as the number isn't the same and people can't contact Meon that number (having to give people the other number more now). Ridiculous and no sing of it being fixed or compensated for stress, anxiety, inconvenience or time I've endured.

Hi Pete, I hope you can help too. I’m having the same issue- I’ve had a text to say my number has ported over successfully to my contract but I can’t make calls or texts?
Thanks

I’ve been waiting since last Monday for my number to transfer, started the port on the friday 10th November was txt to say it would be done on the 13th, my old payg sim went off lunchtime. Tuesday I contacted live chat and was told not to worry and it would be completed on Tuesday by 6pm, that didn’t happen. Went to the the store Wednesday morning and was told the were technical issues and it would be completed on Thursday that didn’t happen, went to to the three store Friday morning and was told they didn’t know when it would happen and took my details and said they contact me. Very unhappy about the situation it’s caused me untold issues with two factor authentication I can’t access numerous accounts and no idea what txt or calls I may have missed.

My number hasn’t transferred to my new sim either - it’s an O2 sim. They sent the PAC code for transfer on Friday 10th Nov at 11.30am so it’s been over 72 hours.

When will this be done as I need this sorted for work Monday asap! I was assured this would only take 24 hours, THREE are a nightmare (I’m thankful I’m leaving)

Hi @artemiset,

I'm sorry to hear you've been running into these errors, did you manage to arrange the port in either with the form or via customer services?

Thanks,
Jonathan
