Three Voicemail

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello everyone,

I am new to Three and I was setting my account and everything up. I called my voicemail and it asked me to record a nametag. I recorded one but now its sort of stuck as I can't really figure out on how to delete it. I don't want a nametag and just want a plain stock voicemail. Would that be available?

Hey @sc1999, @Anonymous,

I think there may have been some confusion about that other thread. Although you can't move from a name greeting back to the default one, you should be able to re-record it. This should be options 3 then 6 from the Voicemail menu.

Thanks,
JonathanB

You cannot delete it, or re-record it, once it's recorded. Three don't tell you it's a one shot. Take a look here: https://community.three.co.uk/t5/Network/Three-Voicemail-how-do-you-manage-to-have-a-standard-greeti...

Hi Jonathan, I  think the issue is with when you record your name not the greeting. It's the same with Vodafone,  once you've recorded "Joseph Bloggs" you cannot change it to "Joe", or can you?

Sorry if that wasn't clear, yes if you call 123, then option 3, then 6, then 3, this will allow you to do a new recording that replaces your "name greeting". Just to be extra sure I've tested this out this morning and it works on my Three SIM.

So although the default completely automated greeting can't be restored, you can change the name that plays back.

Thanks,
JonathanB

I have just setup my Vodafone voicemail and once you have recorded your name you cannot change it.

Fledgling

Hi in order to access voicemail you must first set up a pin avoiding numbers that are easy to guess like 1234 or 1111 and then you must record a name tag there is no other way to skip this as I’ve tried multiple times let me know if this helped

I can actually help with this issue now! I have just found a loop hole!

Call 123 (or hold one for voicemail), then key 3, then key 0, then key 1, then key 6, then after the beep, IMMEDIATELY key #, for me it hung up and the personalised name has now been disabled!

I am posting this on as many forms regarding the subject as I can, but I also can’t guarantee that it will work for everyone as i haven’t tested it time and time again, just want to share my experience.
