I’ve been unable to make or receive calls for well over a month now. I believe it has something to do with the 3G switch off.
If I try to make a call, the screen shows as if it’s trying to ring but the call doesn’t go through (at all) on my end - the person I’m trying to call can see the call coming through, but if they answer they hear nothing, and my phone doesn’t change from the calling out screen, neither does it register in my calls list that I’ve tried to make a call. If somebody tries to call me, my phone doesn’t acknowledge the call whatsoever, other than if the person leaves a voicemail - I get the voicemail text from three.
I’m using an iPhone 15 Pro, so it’s not an incompatibility issue. I’ve tried everything - completely resetting my phone (network settings & general), reset everything to factory settings, using the most up to date version of iOS etc. but absolutely nothing is working - other than if I switch my mobile data settings from 5G to 4G - I can (very) briefly make calls for around 2 minutes, then it goes back to not working again.
I am beyond frustrated, I’ve spent hours & hours of my life trying to get this fixed. I thought it was a problem with my phone, as my partner has the same iPhone (also with Three) & can make and received calls as normal - but I’ve since discovered one of my friends has been having the exact same issue as myself, (on an iPhone 13 on the three network).
I’ve tried a Vodafone sim in my phone and calls work absolutely fine, so it has to be an issue on Threes end.
If anybody can tell me exactly how to remedy this I will be greatly appreciative as I’m at my wits end with it now.
*edit* Forgot to add that I can make and receive calls through WhatsApp, facebook messenger etc. absolutely fine, it’s just standard phone calls that aren’t working at all
Thanks!

Hi @ParadoxJosh,
Sorry to hear you've been having trouble with your calls lately. iPhones should be enabled for VoLTE (4g calling) by default, but there's some steps to check in How to ensure your phone is ready for the 3G switch off
If none of the tips there seem to help, I'd suggest a SIM swap. Your number can be swapped onto a replacement SIM if you pop into a Three store with photo ID, or get in touch with customer services. (Three store is generally better if one is accessible as the team can supply your SIM immediately rather than having to wait on post).
Let me know when you've been able to try these suggestions.
Thanks,
Jonathan
