I have two Phone a Iphone 16 and Iphone 15 both running IOS 18.5. The Iphone 16 has stopped wifi calling. I have done all the normal resets, reboots, and even reloaded a new esim into the phone, but still no Wifi Calling. If I put them both into airplane mode the 15 has wifi calling the 16 does not. both have wifi calling turned on in the esim settings.
I have contacted support and they say it must be the phone, contacted Apple and they say its Three
I need Wifi calling as the phone signal is 1 bar or nothing most of the time.
Any ideas would be appreciated

Hi everyone,
Thanks for your patience whilst we've been working on sorting this issue out. We started rolling out a fix yesterday evening, and it should have landed with you all by this morning.
If you've not picked up the 64.2 carrier update automatically, try checking in your Settings, General, About and you can also manually check for the update. Please let us know if you're still experiencing any issues with your Wi-Fi calling.
I appreciate everyone's feedback around this issue. I'll be sharing this to the relevant teams.

hmm that is strange... Yesterday morning I noticed that my android phone was not on wifi calling (and usually it is), but then in the afternoon/evening was back on it.
Have you powered it off for little while and then on again and see if picks up the wifi calling or even force it(by using the airplane mode on and then wifi on)?

Yes done all of that including resetting network settings. I’m not too bothered but other people may be.

Checked my second phone this morning and it had a banner, "Carrier Update", so I did the update and bingo I have no Wifi calling on that phone now as well.
So it looks like the most recent Carrier Update has killed my Wifi Calling, now on both phones. Is there anything that can be done to go back to a previous version?

I have tried airplane mode, or wifi only and nothing, have rebooted the phone, reset the network settings, and still no wifi calling.

Sorry I missed something on my suggestion, I meant have you tried toggle the WiFi calling button a few times...
There is/was something wrong with sky broadband...

Typical support agents pointing fingers at eachother...
WiFi calling is controlled by the phone, so you can only force them by enabling airplane mode and then switch on WiFi only, or disabling cellular coverage and leaving WiFi on ( not sure if iPhone has this last option)
Have you tried to toggle the WiFi button a few times? And forget the WiFi network and join again? By any chance do you have sky broadband?

It’s yesterday’s ota network update that’s broken things either iOS 18.5. Absolute shambles ever since!

There's another thread for this and looks like it was down to the Carrier update released with version three 64.1
