is it possible to get information on the health of individual masts?

I use an App, Network Signal Info Pro, to get information on which mast I am connected to and the signal strength.

It's useful. A year ago I was able to get a partial rebate on my contract for 3 months running because I was getting intermittent and poor data speed and was able to diagnose it as my not connecting to my nearest mast. Eventually I started connecting to the usual mast and  my connection became excellent. I'm guessing that my mast was refurbished as part of the transfer to 4G.

Ever since the very heavy rain two months ago I'm getting poor signal and poor speed again and I see that I'm not connecting to my local mast again. My contract has just come to an end and I want to know whether the local mast will be repaired or decommissioned. How do I find this out?

That is as much information as would be available, sorry. If you're still experiencing issues, I'd recommend speaking to the support team in the link Kate shared.

Pete.

Hey @dbk,

I'm sorry to hear you've experienced slow speeds and poor signal for the last 2 months, that must be frustrating.

When you enter your postcode into our Network Status Checker, does it show any reported issues or work going on in the area?

If there is a reported fault in the area, it would be worth reaching out to our Customer Service team directly. They'll be able to run some tests after accessing your account and get you some further information on any issues with one of the local masts.

Thanks,
Kate
