Yes I read that article when it was first published and it’s absolutely an appalling way to treat someone. What resonates for me is the part which said the complaint was just closed without reference to the customer;something I’ve experienced for myself but not (fortunately) in the same tragic circumstances as described in the article. Three do themselves no favours and the customer service experience remains a trade off to be endured.
