In recent days access to certain services has been completely blocked by my router, mainly xbox live (only the party chat). I can still socialise with my friends if I join on my laptop with a VPN but then I have no game sound as I am not connected to the xbox. Not as easy to circumvent this issue with a VPN on an xbox. I want to setup static IP for the xbox and move it into DMZ with the hope that I can once again talk to friends on the console.
I think this would be the best temporary solution to my problems while three work out how to revert whatever it was they did. So far I have managed to get a bit of a discount for the next months bill but I don't care. I just want access back.

Sounds like you are having the same issues as myself and a few other people on the forum, in that the '3internet' APN is handing you a private IP instead of the public IP it has historically done. If your router is being assigned a private IP then it is using a technology called Carrier Grade Network Address Translation (CG-NAT). You can detect this by using a NAT checker such as - https://natchecker.com
Unfortunately, Three so called "Network Technicians" are ignoring this problem and pretending that nothing is wrong and there is no fix (it has to be done via the Three network).
Some people have reported that by changing the APN to 'three.co.uk' things work slightly better, but not like it used to be.
