Is anyone else occasionally getting a 'connection down' error from Chrome (or 'Secure Connection Failed' from Firefox) when changing page - if I hit refresh it works fine. At first I wondered if it was the site I was using but have noticed it on multiple different major websites over the past couple of months and not noticed it from other locations where I don't use Three Broadband so does seem to be related to the router/connection (this is via wired Ethernet too, so not a WiFi problem). I've tried changing DNS server in case that helps but no difference.
It mainly seems to happen when trying to first load a site or (annoyingly) at checkout when a different site is being loaded as part of the checkout process. It certainly doesn't happen everytime but does happen with reasonable frequency. I've also noticed I often get it when trying to pull/push from/to Github too and have to do so a number of times for it to work (browsing the Github website works fine).

Did a quick test yesterday on the unusual band combination of B3 with N78 appearing twice
Testing speeds were averaging closer to 800Mbps rather than 600Mbps despite the time of day
More importantly, there have been no changes
Cloudflare's WARP continues to work for myself despite the download speed reductions due to its overhead
I wonder if such mitigations will still be needed under Vodafone's systems although iD Mobile seems to be absent in the announcements unlike the other MVNOs

I left Three during my cooling off period and jumped to talkmobile, a Vodafone NVMO (I think it might even be owned by Vodafone). It certainly does not have the TLS problems that Three has. I do get connections dropped from time to time when streaming internet radio, but I had a bit of that on my old landline too, although talkmobile is definitely worse at it. I don't notice issues with anything else.
I think it's a good service. Cheaper than Three and a one month rolling contract so easy to leave if it becomes rubbish. The only downside is there's no router - it's a mobile phone contract that allows tethering. I'm technically minded, so rolled my own router on a Raspberry Pi and plugged an old mobile phone into a USB slot. Not as fast as Three, but faster than my landline ever was so I'm happy.

Been trying to do some remote working today from home. Had so many issues trying to connect to the vpn/microsoft authentication/remote app. This is actually horrible

Yep. It is thoroughly broken for a lot of use cases. Basically terminates the connection early. Welcome to the black hole that is this thread. Don't expect a resolution, as there has not been one for nearly 2 years now, but at least you aren't suffering alone.
Not that this is much consolation.

Hi Three! Thanks for the updates, it's great to know that you are really working hammer and tongs to fix this issue. I really value how much you prioritise keeping your paying customers updated. This is hugely appreciated.
Just checking in to let you know that your service is still broken, but don't worry about it. Just in your own time, y'know.

I wonder how well Vodafone is equipped to take on the complaints that Three has been getting? Maybe that side of the merged company will actually do something
No changes to report from my tests

Time passes, everything changes. Everything except Three's ability to fix a longstanding problem, or communicate **anything** to their customers at all.
You really do love treating your customers like the absolute mugs that we clearly are.
I got a promotional email the other day asking me to refer my friends to Three. Made me laugh, but then not altogether surprising, sadly for you, I don't tend to treat my friends the way you treat your customers, so I am actively doing the opposite.

I don't know if there's been a change, but I've been away from home for 10 days, got back and work day today, so switch to 5G while everyone is out for the day, did a few runs of the test script using the script posted here some time back (PPBJ2M4S.bat I have it saved as), and I've had multiple runs this morning with 0 failures! Actually, now 10 runs, each of 100 connections, so 1000 connections with no failures.. I shall keep the VPN off for the day and see what occurs.. Make that 11 runs now..
