Since updating to iOS 18.2 I’ve been unable to use WiFi calling on my iPhone 14 Pro Max. I’m When it is enabled I cannot make or received calls. My cell quality is noticeably poorer when I have this option disabled. Can anyone help with this? I’ve even tried using the Beta 18.3 and it hasn’t fixed the issue.

On your phone,
Go Settings - WiFi
Click the little (i) on the right of the network you are connected to.
Scroll down to Private WiFi Address and set to OFF.
Should solve your issues.

Thanks that seems to have worked but I had to forget the WiFi network and add it back again.
Should the network show Privacy Warning under it?
Thanks again

Hi @Kevvvy,
I believe this article from Apple should give a bit more background on the setting: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/102509
From what I gather the "privacy" concern here is more about preventing your ISP and network provider from tracking your device. I can totally appreciate the thinking behind this, but it seems like this is possibly interfering with routing Wi-Fi calling.
I haven't seen the warning you're referring to personally though, does it give any more context?
Thanks,
Jonathan

This is the warning I see

Hmm, that's really odd, and you don't get further explanatory info when you click on the "i"
I've checked with a colleague and to our understanding there's a specific issue on Sky Broadband, and they're investigating on their end. Have you checked with their customer service teams in the meantime since originally raised this?
Thanks,
Jonathan

I've looked on their forums and someone mentioned a fix that I tried but again this worked then stopped almost instantly. I've lived with it for this long do I'm used to it 😂

Hi @arjones27,
Welcome to the Three Community!
Thanks for sharing this tip, were you personally running into this issue? Was this also with Sky Broadband by any chance?
Thanks,
Jonathan
