Calling issue 23/01/2025 [UPDATED]

Hi everyone,

UPDATE: Following an issue affecting voice calls yesterday, services have almost returned to normal overnight. Our monitoring has picked up an issue with calls connected via WiFI which we are investigating urgently.

Today, we also expect to see an additional impact on our service due to Storm Éowyn in some areas. We have already deployed extra engineering resources and planning for these areas, so we can bring sites that are impacted back online as soon as it is safe to do so.

A normal volume of 999 calls were connected yesterday and our monitoring confirms the service is working fully this morning.  We continue to investigate the small number of reports that we received about 999 call failures. We apologise sincerely for the inconvenience caused by the issues on our voice network. 


Due to these issues, our phone and chat lines are and will continue to be incredibly busy, so we're aware there may also be issues getting through to the teams at the moment. Please bear with us as we work through this.

Hi up in Aberdeen, same as rest of UK, no calling or receiving calls. So thought I’d try to see what’s happening, but three have closed the chat service more than 3 hours early, so we have no one to complain to? 20 years + with three, maybe need to return my upgrade, and change to gift gaff, or any other network.

I’m in Essex which is a significant distance from yourself so I’m not sure how it is “some” customers !!  I also did a reset on my phone and had to search for answers rather than being informed it’s nothing I had done wrong and it was their end !  They have also closed early and made no other statement for over 4 hours - not great customer service me thinks !

Cannot make calls or receive calls my business needs this to be working any updates will be appreciated if not I need to make alternate arrangements

Tried contacting Three via 333 but it doesn't work either. Tried live chat and it's not available, despite asking the AI robot for it. I've been unable to call, receive calls or access my voicemail (even from a different person's phone) since 1pm today! Absolutely disgraceful that it's still not fixed - I've been awaiting calls about urgent medical examinations and don't even know if anyone was trying to call me and who left messages for me. 

My partner has cheapo Giff Gaff I was always laughing about. I should've moved to them ages ago... there's always sth with Three. Not happy at all and I've been with Three for 10 long years.
