Can someone please help. Pay as you go sim installed in old direct debit phone not working.

I need to set up a pay as you go sim before tomorrow morning 17/06/2023. installed sim put £15 data package on sim (from another phone) but the sim will not connect to the network on either this phone or other 3 handsets. phone will receive text and calls but will not do either outward or data. Webchat isn't working and I'm struggling to get through option to talk to an human operator. Thanks in advance.

I'm a little unsure of what the issue is you're having. I'm hoping you can clarify. You mentioned that the SIM in the phone gets no network, but afterwards mentioned that it get's calls and texts but can't make them or use data. Is this referring to a separate issue? Or is this all one issue?
