Not receiving calls

LALA1738
Fledgling

Ive been with three for a long time. Yesterday randomly my network stopped working. I thought maybe it was an issue in my area but went to work on the other side of London and still nothing. I cant receive phone calls and when I try to call others I am either presented with the not registered on network message or I make the phone call and no dial tone or anything just pure silence. I have been through all the network troubleshooting and nothing. Any one have any idea how to solve this? I cant even call 333 off my phone.

Hey MariaP76.

Following an issue affecting voice calls yesterday, services have almost returned to normal overnight. Our monitoring has picked up an issue with calls connected via WiFI which we are investigating urgently.

Today, we also expect to see an additional impact on our service due to Storm Éowyn in some areas. We have already deployed extra engineering resources and planning for these areas, so we can bring sites that are impacted back online as soon as it is safe to do so. A normal volume of 999 calls were connected yesterday and our monitoring confirms the service is working fully this morning.

We continue to investigate the small number of reports that we received about 999 call failures. We apologise sincerely for the inconvenience caused by the issues on our voice network.

Hey @LALA1738

That's really frustrating. The message that you've advised would indicate that the APN/network settings on your device need to be reset.

Android -

  1. Tap Settings.
  2. Tap More.
  3. Tap Mobile Networks.
  4. Tap Access Point Names.
  5. Tap Menu (3 vertical dots)
  6. Tap Reset to Default.
  7. Wait for the screen to display Restoring default APN settings and Reset Default APN settings completed.

Apple -

  1. Settings.
  2. Mobile
  3. Mobile Data Network
  4. Tap Reset Settings.

You'll need to re-connect to any Wifi Networks, however, this should get you connected.

Thanks

John D
