Hi,

Perhaps someone in the community might be able to help me solve, or at least explain, an issue that seems to have stumped Three themselves.  I cannot call the Dao Pay premium telephone number.  When I call, I go straight to the error message  - "Your service does not allow access to this number".  For those unfamiliar, this number is used to pay for orders for game cards and the like.  You order with an online store, are given a purchase code, ring the Dao pay line, type your purchase code and wait the requisite number of minutes until your purchase is complete.  Expensive? Yes, but it is useful in some cases.  It is definitely:

Not my phone - SIM cards from other network providers could call the number when put in my phone.

Not my SIM - I put a new Three SIM with a different number and I could not call, same error.

Not a block from Dao - ditto see above, also Dao confirmed no block.

Not my content settings - I can access naughty stuff

Not my credit limit or spend cap - I can bust my money in the casino, call any other premium number, text any short code.

The issue is very specific to this number and the issue must be with Three. I raised the issue with Three customer service nearly one month ago, they were unable to sort the problem, despite it having been escalated.  The last time I called, there didn't seem to be any record of of my issue on the account and the customer service agent wanted to start the whole process again. Not even a record of the issue having been escalated, despite the fact I'd had calls from that team.  I feel like I've spent half a lifetime on the phone with them, I don't have the strength for another call in me.  I find it difficult to believe that they cannot find the reason for this specific block.

Has anyone ever run into such a specific block?  Has anyone ever solved it?

Hmmm, seems my first post was deleted on the quiet.  Let's keep this simple then.

Has anybody out there had trouble calling the Dao Pay service number with a Three sim?

Hi,

Can anyone here help me to understand why I can't call the DaoPay service number?  It's a UK premium rate number - 09071269933.

I can call any and all other premium numbers without issue, I can use Three Pay and short code premium SMS. I can put a SIM from a different provider in my phone and call DaoPay without issue.

However, support have me changing my settings and the spend cap etc, despite me explaining that it's not my phone, phone settings, credit limit or spend cap.  It's like Three themselves are blocking this one specific premium number.

As per the norm, Three customer support are no help whatsoever.  I've still got a full year left to run on this nightmare Three contract, with all the problems and issues that don't exist with any other provider.  I'm so close to just paying the year off and moving away now, just to be rid of them.

Please, can anyone here give me a solution?

I've seen you've posted a couple of times about this issue, so I've merged the threads just to help keep things tidy and clear if we do find anything more about this.

I'll do my best to help, but I'm not familiar with this service. If I've understood correctly, you'd be using a call to a premium rate line to pay for goods and services purchased online? Is the number you mentioned 09071269933 the only one that you don't seem to be able to call/the only number that is used to access the Dao Pay service?

Have you ever been able to call this number from Three, or has it been an issue since you joined us?
