How do I separate the 2.4ghz and 5ghz networks

Does anyone know how I separate the 2 networks on the Sercomn LTE 4G router?

I can see the both in the router admin settings but can’t figure out how to create a separate SSID for each one?

Hi folks, I have an LTE router and can't separate the WiFi, now none of my WiFi bulbs or plugs will connect as they all need 2.4, its very annoying not being able to use things so help would be much appreciated. Eunice

Hi @Josieg,

I'm afraid that the Sercomm router does not support splitting the frequencies. I've passed on feedback in case this can be addressed by a future firmware update, but I can't make any guarantees or set a timescale.

Just thinking of workarounds off hand, you could connect another router or WiFi point device to the Sercomm, or use the Three SIM in a different cellular router, but at the current moment, I'm not aware of a solution without extra hardware involved.

Hello Jonathan.

I have the same problem , router won't connect to my plugs sockets and heat pump. I have a sky router but how do I connect it to the tree router. Thank you,  Lionel

Hey @Libro,

Is this also the Sercomm router mentioned in the original post, or are you using one of our 5g routers?

Thanks,
Jonathan

Hi @BurnDizzyBurn,

Thanks for your patience on this issue. I'm waiting on feedback around if the router supports separating the frequencies, and if so how.

Strange that 2.4Ghz devices aren't working for you though. You definitely ought to be able to use a mix of devices connecting on both frequencies without having to separate them.

Hopefully shouldn't be too much longer for an update.
