There has been an internet outage in Oxford for a week now. The official website updates with the same message every half an hour — no workaround, no time frames, no compensation.
Prolonged unreliable service probably violates the Consumer Rights Act 2015, but what do I know. I'm currently looking into alternative providers with more reliable coverage to do my work.
The official message:
We’re fixing an issue with our network in this area
We’re sorry for any disruption you experience. Our engineers are working on masts nearby, which means the rest of our network is handling more traffic than usual.
Updates on our work will be posted here. We’re working as fast as we can to build a better, stronger network in your area.
You can find more help and advice below. And you can read more about our Big Network Build here.

To me this is just ridiculous customer service.

That is unlikely. The T&Cs of all of the ISPs and mobile 'phone companies are careful to say that they cannot guarantee service.
When it is working, Three's 5G Broadband is the best that you will get in Oxford. What part of the city are you in ?
