DNS Error on some devices

Hi,

I recently upgraded from a Huawei 5G Router to a newer Zyxel NR5103E router with Three. I also changed my changed my contract which was coming to an end. I started the new contract before the end of the previous contract; and the day after the end of my first contract some devices in my house lost connection.

My partner's and my phones connect fine, my desktop by ethernet connection connects fine, my laptop through wifi connects fine, a tablet connects fine. However our PlayStation 4, our 2 Sonos smart-speakers and our Nintendo Switch all report a DNS error.

They connect fine to the router itself; they have an IP address; but they do not connect to the internet.

PS4 displays errors: NW-31205-1 & WV-33898-1

Switch displays error: 2110-3127

We have tried rebooting the devices (did not work), restarting the router (did not work), resetting the router (did not work), removing the adult filter (as recommended by Altamash in the live chat; did not work). I have no idea what else to try.

Anyone else in a similar situation; if yes how did you solve ?

Thanks !

Christophe

Thanks for this. I dont have this particular router, I have the ZTE MC801A and have been having constant issues from March. One month was fantastic, the rest has been all over the place, pages not responding, saying there was connection issues but the router was still online. Rebooting 3-10 times a day.

Sometimes on my mobile it would say DNS issues, turned wifi off and it would connect fine, turn wifi back on and same DNS issues.

Three have been absolutely useless in dealing with it. Started in March, still dealing with it in October. They say congestion issue at the mast, but still selling the home broadband in this area.

Hopefully this fixes things, APN on my mobile is three.co.uk and don't have DNS issues. Fingers crossed.
