Is anyone else occasionally getting a 'connection down' error from Chrome (or 'Secure Connection Failed' from Firefox) when changing page - if I hit refresh it works fine. At first I wondered if it was the site I was using but have noticed it on multiple different major websites over the past couple of months and not noticed it from other locations where I don't use Three Broadband so does seem to be related to the router/connection (this is via wired Ethernet too, so not a WiFi problem). I've tried changing DNS server in case that helps but no difference.
It mainly seems to happen when trying to first load a site or (annoyingly) at checkout when a different site is being loaded as part of the checkout process. It certainly doesn't happen everytime but does happen with reasonable frequency. I've also noticed I often get it when trying to pull/push from/to Github too and have to do so a number of times for it to work (browsing the Github website works fine).

Well glad I left some time ago but still get the message notifications of updates, and keeping options open for when I'm next out of contract. Disgraceful to see issue still not resolved nor seemingly narrowed down much. I thought there was going to be promised regular updates and transparency on getting this issue expedited. So far the only progress appears to have been red herrings of reports of people getting it a bit less on some days, which has always been the case.
I guess Three are just happy enough to let the issue lie as the majority of people will just blame their phone, pc or external website etc when the blip occurs, or using chromium browsers so see it less often

Can I ask who you went with, and what the 5G performance is like relative to Three ?

I went with a fibre connection Grain, and get a solid gigabit connection with next to no issues since *touch wood* - price for the 18months was on average only a couple quid more a month than Three. Remains to be seen what will happen at end of contract though when every penny counts

Maybe when the merger with Vodafone is complete someone will take pity on us.

A check-in
I have not seen any changes so far
How are things for you all?

Still broken here, nothing changed at all.. Living with ~100Mbps over 4G is starting to grate really badly for work stuff..

Zero change here, just as bad as ever - can get round it with a VPN on PC but still issues for other devices like TVs where I keep having to reload apps to get them to work.

Just checking in to say, no change here. Issue still persists.
Lets hope 2025 can be the year that Three finally solve the issue.

A question for those who have a Three SIM and also are using a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) on Three's network...
Any MVNOs on Three's network not experiencing this issue?

As far as I have tested, all Three MVNOs have this issue - You can test each one by changing the APN details and that is what I do when I test things
