Hello - I am hoping that the community can help,
Before signing up for a contract, I am trying to find out if the Sercomm LTE2122GR (I believe that this is supplied with the 4G Plus Home Broadband) can work in bridge/modem only mode? I would like to keep my current network router to handle DHCP/wifi etc. so just want it to operate as a modem. Is this possible?
I have asked Three - buat after over an hour, several departments and sales trying to sell me a new phone I have concluded that they do not know!
Thanks in advance

Hi @Lloyd ,
Depending on your networking setup you can still use the DHCP on the Mobile router and work in a double NAT setup, however if you are looking to port forward or use a DMZ this might become an issue (or very fiddly with extra configuration).
Essentially, use the mobile router in your WAN port (or assign another port to WAN if you were looking to use the mobile router as a redundant connection) and then configure your current router to connect to the mobile router via DHCP.
Kind Regards,
Melissa

Hi @Lloyd,
Welcome to the Three Community.
I checked in with one of our device specialists, unfortunately bridge mode isn't supported on the Sercomm at the moment. My understanding is that we sometimes can enable new features on firmware updates, but I wouldn't be able to guarantee that or give any expectations of a timescale.
Sorry that it's not the ideal outcome, but I hope it's helpful to now have an answer.
Also thanks for highlighting the difficulties with getting help with this, I'll pass the feedback on in case there's more we can do to improve knowledge or access to information about the capabilities of the routers we range.
