VPN Block

My router has worked perfectly with my company's VPN for over a year but 3 weeks ago it suddenly stopped working and would not connect to the VPN. I liased a lot with the Three support team and my companies IT department who tried everything. I even bought the new 5G "working from home hub" which also persisted with the same issue. The VP  connects without a problem when using different networks.

I was then informes by the Three team that they updated their system which is causing the block on VPNs. The problem has been going on for 3 weeks now and they they have yet to resolve it.

I am thinking the quickest way to resolve the issue is to change network provider to one that does not block thr VPN.

There is a lot of people within my company who are having the same issue. Some have already changed provider which fixed it immediately.

Any update on this situation from anyone? I too have a major issue with SecurePulse/Avanti VPN being dropped by 3 5G internet. I have worked with our IT Team and an alternative broadband connection to definitely put this down to 3 5G connection. I have also tried all the solutions suggested here and nothing has worked.
Shame to move away from 3 5G as it's otherwise excellent, but if I cant work from home, it's utterly useless.

Hi Everyone,

I've noticed a few discussions cropping up about issues using VPNs over Three Broadband connections recently. I'm sending everyone that has mentioned this so far a PM so that we can get you in touch with some colleagues that will verify your accounts, and gather more info to help us investigate.

If you're experiencing this issue but haven't posted yet, please add a reply so that I can get in touch, the more examples I can gather, the easier it should be for our support teams to pinpoint what's causing the issues.

Hi @Alex7,

We've removed your personal info from the post, please don't share data like this on a public forum, it will put your personal information at risk.

In most cases of VPN issues, it looks like setting a manual APN with IPv4 only settings has been helpful. Have you had a look at this topic: FYI : IPv6 Prevented VPN Connection

This topic describes a similar issue for 5G routers, but you should be able to change similar settings on your own device, or if you're having trouble doing this, the tech team at customer services should be able to help further with this.

Moved to Three Mobile recently. Happy except, I  can’t get any VPN’s to work when on mobile data. This is a complete show stopper for me. A google shows this is a wider issue. For me, I have signed up to a contract, but without mobile VPN this is not fit for purpose and therefore a solution is required or I will have not choice but to move to another provider.

Hey @Laurakchem

What VPN are you using, and what they're experiencing when connected? For example frequent disconnections, unable to connect at all?

Also, have you tried setting APN to IPv4? We have a thread that can help you with this.
