Calling issue 23/01/2025 [UPDATED]

Hi everyone,

UPDATE: Following an issue affecting voice calls yesterday, services have almost returned to normal overnight. Our monitoring has picked up an issue with calls connected via WiFI which we are investigating urgently.

Today, we also expect to see an additional impact on our service due to Storm Éowyn in some areas. We have already deployed extra engineering resources and planning for these areas, so we can bring sites that are impacted back online as soon as it is safe to do so.

A normal volume of 999 calls were connected yesterday and our monitoring confirms the service is working fully this morning.  We continue to investigate the small number of reports that we received about 999 call failures. We apologise sincerely for the inconvenience caused by the issues on our voice network. 

Due to these issues, our phone and chat lines are and will continue to be incredibly busy, so we're aware there may also be issues getting through to the teams at the moment. Please bear with us as we work through this.

I cannot make or receive calls. Phone number or name appears but can accept them. Techradar said network is down. Anyone else?

I can’t make outgoing calls but can receive incoming calls

Same just spoke to them and they said they have no idea when we will be back on

Today I am completely unable to make or receive calls. Texts and internet seem fine. I've done some testing. I happen to have a lyca sim that I was able to swap, so I know all my hardware is working. But on the 12th of January I know someone attempted to call me and it never went through and I never received any missed call notification. That person was able to call me on 16th of January but obviously I have no idea what status was on 13th-15th. Any idea what is going on?

My Three on iPhone 12 Pro isn’t working. I can’t call or recieve normal phonecalls

Thing is, I don't even make many calls, so I have no idea how many I may have missed receiving. I knew I should never tell people not to leave me messages because I never bother to listen to them, I'd just call them back when I see I have a missed call...oops.
