Three recently introduced a system upgrade which included Three insisting that customers who had more that one telephone number had to re-register their account using separate email addresses for each number. To me this was a ridiculous and chaotic change by Three which took me weeks to resolve. Up to that point I had been very happy with Three and would have recommended Three to anyone.
In the last few days things have gone from bad to worse for me. A few days ago I was out and suddenly I noticed that my phone was no longer working. I was unable to make or receive calls and mobile internet service had stopped. For me this was a disaster as I rely in the phone and internet when I am out. I assumed this was a problem with my phone and struggled for a long time to resolve it. However it turned out later there was serious technical problem at Three. with apparently thousands of customers losing the ability to connect their phones. It seems that Three Customer service closed as they were unable to handle the huge number of incoming calls. After the best part of a day my phone finally started to work again although I have seen no report of what the problem was and how it had been fixed.
However things went from bad to worse when the following day once again my phone stopped working for several hours. After my phone finally started working again I have seen explanation of what these chronic problems are which had repeated itself. Does anyone know exactly what caused thousands of customers to be prevented from using their phones and is it likely to happen again in the near future? I have now been obliged to get a second phone connected to a different provider to take with me when I am out.
As my topic says I think Three seems to be going from bad to worse.
